Ending a marriage is always a difficult and upsetting process on some levels. Not only are you severing emotional ties, but you are also splitting up your lives and valuable time with your children. There are three general topics that a court may address in a divorce matter, namely:
- Equitable Distribution, (the division of all of the assets and debts of the marriage);
- Alimony/Spousal Support; and
- A Parenting Plan regarding the issues surrounding any children of the marriage including, among other things, Child Custody/Time-Sharing and Child Support.
